    Here is how it works:

    DECORATE
    Families, decorate your HOME front door, mailbox or fence with a Red Ribbon (double looped) and this year's theme: "LIFE IS YOUR JOURNEY. TRAVEL DRUG FREE."TM

    Schools, decorate your SCHOOL campus with a Red Ribbon (double looped) and this year's theme: "LIFE IS YOUR JOURNEY. TRAVEL DRUG FREE.TM"

     

    SNAP A PHOTO & UPLOAD
    Take a picture of your Red Ribbon decoration (preferably with people in it!) and upload to www.redribbon.org. You must be 18 years old to enter, so parents (or for school entries, school staff or PTA members) must submit the photos.

     

    GET VOTES!
    Ask your friends, family, colleagues and school contacts to vote for your photo on our website.

     

     

    Photo Submission: Photo submissions will be available from October 1st, 2018 to November 1st, 2018. You can enter through the Homes Category or the Schools Category. Entries will not be accepted after November 1st,  2018.

  • Sweethearts and Heroes

    Be a Hero LLC,  is a group of motivational speakers bringing a message of Sweethearts and Heroes to educate society about the impact bullying has on all of our schools, our neighborhoods, and individuals. Our unique perspective, action plan (for every member of the bullying cycle), and unmatched ignition to make change puts Sweethearts and Heroes at the top of the list when it comes to changing schools’ climates.

    We also deliver messages of bystander empowerment, empathy and leadership to all audiences, including K-12 students, colleges and universities, teaching professionals and corporations.  Children, teachers, parents and all members of society need to know that we all have the potential to be someone’s Sweetheart and the power to be a Hero.

  • "Speak Up: Our Time Is Now"

    Tiana DiCostanzo is a Seaford Alumni who received her Bachelors of Theater Arts from Adelphi University. She has a passion for inspiring students through her love of the performing arts. 
     
    She has written and directed a play called "Speak Up: Our Time Is Now" raising awareness of bullying and offering ways of prevention.  
     
    "Speak Up: Our Time Is Now" is an interactive play which incorporates spoken word poetry, real life scenarios, and quotes from well known icons. This piece illustrates different forms of bullying such as verbal bullying and cyberbullying and provides students with effective strategies to respond. "Speak Up: Our Time Is Now" helps to educate students and promotes kindness in a positive way.
     
    Tiana would like to make a difference and encourage acceptance.
