Generosity By 2015- 2016 5th Grade Students at Seaford Harbor School

Generosity is all about having a heart to give when you see there is a need. During the month of December, students at Seaford Harbor focused on ways to become more generous. These students put together a short video to demonstrate some small ways to be generous to others. Being generous isn’t just about giving money, it’s about giving yourself. This can mean anything from making time to be with someone who seems lonely, helping a friend in need, or writing a quick note to tell someone how much you appreciate them. We are so proud of our students for working so well together as a team to make December’s theme come alive through their video.

  • Each year, I have the privilage of participating in the implementation of a school-wide character education program. This program was designed to instill characters of value to our students and provide open discussion as to why these values are important. This program is best implemented with the support of our families. To that end, here is the list of values we will be talking about. Each day, these quotes will be shared over the loudspeaker. Throughout the year, the school social worker, the school librarian and our teachers will be discussing these qualities with our students. Again, if you have any questions feel free to speak to Mrs. Klein by phone 516.592.4171 or email her at: sklein@mail.seaford.k12.ny.us
