Wednesday 3/25:
1) Complete the part 2 (of yesterday's worksheet) about the Mark Rothko painting on pg.166. For the first question look at the caption next to the painting (starting with Figure 7.20). The answers should be one of the schemes from the worksheet. The second question, warm or cool, would be a second scheme.
2) Work on the attached worksheet (link above) using the textbook (yesterday's link). (*Some of the information is repeated from the yesterday's worksheet. Work on the following questions ONLY: 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 3c, 5, 6, 10b).

Color Schemes
Tuesday 3/24:
1) Read about Color Schemes from the text book pgs.164-168 (Link below). On you list of definitions (started 3/20) add a definition for “color schemes.”
2) Start the attached assignment (link above). Define the following color schemes and give an example for each using the stated amount of color(s). (For example: Complementary, ex. 2 colors: orange & blue are two colors that make up a complementary color scheme. You can use the attached labeled colorwheel (link below) to help you select colors).
Monochromatic, analogous, complementary (use attached glossary), and color triads, split complements, warm colors (use attached glossary) and cool colors (use attached glossary). Save part 2 for tomorrow.

Color wheel
Monday 3/23:
Fill in the attached color wheel (link above) using the medium of your choice (ie. Oil pastels, color pencils, crayons or markers.) ** Look at the attached step-by-step color wheel (links below) as a guide. For step 3 try to mix your intermediate / tertiary colors using the colors on each side of the space labeled with a “T”. If you are feeling daring, try the value scale on the bottom.

Properties of Color
Friday 3/20:
1) Read about the three properties of color: Hues, Value and Intensity in the text book, pg. 158-163 (see attachment from 3/19).
2) On a separate piece of loose-leaf paper, Define: Hue, primary colors, secondary colors, intermediate (or tertiary) colors, color wheel, tint, shade, and intensity. Keep this list of definitions handy. You will be adding to them as we go.
