Dual Enrollment Credits Information
-
Dual enrollment courses are a great way for students at SHS to challenge themselves with college-level curricula and, upon successful completion of the course, purchase college credits. A dual enrollment course is one where students qualify for both high school credit and college credit due to the nature of the course work and the partnership with a university. Seaford High School is excited to offer a number of dual enrollment courses including:
Long Island University: Sports Medicine, Public Speaking, Marketing, Accounting, Java, Child Development
Stony Brook ACE: Social Media & News Literacy, Photography 2, Long Island History
Project Lead the Way: Cybersecurity, Human Body Systems, Computer Science Principles
For more information about these courses, you can read their course descriptions in the SHS Course Handbook or book an appointment with your guidance counselor to chat.
Below, you will find helpful information regarding registration, costs, and deadlines for securing the accompanying college credits.
