Course Description:
Sculpture provides the opportunity for students to create three-dimensional artworks.
Various tools, techniques, procedures and mediums are explored as students create both
realistic and abstract pieces. The elements of art and the principles of design are applied
to creating three-dimensional art. Students write critical essays based on visual references
of sculptures. Students also critique their own work orally and study various periods in
art history. There is a prerequisite for the course.
