Caro mio ben – I have this in many different keys if you're bold enough to take on the Italian.

I bought me a cat – Has its challenges (the pickups, tempo changes), but it’s fun

I am the pirate king – This is from an operetta, and it’s also fun and full of personality

Sail on, sail on - Okay, it's another seafarer song. We're going to start this in lessons.

Best choices for girls*

Caro mio ben – You know it, you love it, you can sing it medium or high

Far from the Home I Love – Beautiful song, short, but has a good emotional range.

Goodnight, My Someone - You can do this in the original key or 1 step lower. 

Many a New Day- Sassy and all girl-power (I have this in soprano and alto keys)

Much More – Great if you have an energetic, bubbly personality and love to act

Someone to Watch Over Me – Medium key, just beautiful and classic (REPEAT IS NOT REQUIRED)

What’s the use of wond’rin – Good if you like to sing high and be sad

Wheree’er you Walk – The da capo (repeat with ornaments) isn’t required this year,

and it really is pretty. If you like mythology, check it out (Jupiter sings it)!

*I REALLY don’t like being so gendered, I’m mostly considering range. I’ll support you 100% even if you pick a song from the other list!!!
